Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) National Spiritual Director for Canada and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada in Toronto. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than forty years and holds the lineages of his blessings in his heart. He is an inspiring example of a pure practitioner of modern Kadampa Buddhism who relies sincerely upon his Spiritual Guide in all his actions.
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is an internationally renowned Teacher and English Buddhist monk, greatly admired throughout the world for his powerful teachings, his wisdom, as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness. He is also well-known for his deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and his ability to convey their profound meaning in a very clear, accessible way.
Gen Kelsang Chögyan
Gen Kelsang Chögyan is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Montréal and Vajrayogini Buddhist Center in Vaudreuil, Québec. She has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years. She constantly encourages students through her sincere example, her deep faith and her great ability to transform all situations into opportunities to progress along path. Her joy, energy and enthusiasm inspire us to put Buddha’s teachings into practice and experience their many benefits in our daily life.
Gen Kelsang Chögyan will guide the Saturday and Sunday morning meditations during the festival.
Gen Kelsang Suma
Gen Kelsang Suma is the Resident Teacher of Jampaling Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Barrie, Ontario. She has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for almost 30 years. A sincere and devoted practitioner, she is known for the warmth and clarity of her teachings and for her love of her students. Her example inspire us to put apply effort to transform our life with Buddha’s teachings.
Gen Kelsang Suma will guide the seven sessions retreat on the Monday and the Tuesday that will follow the empowerment and commentaries.
